Oh Instagram... you evil, obligatory demander & distractor.
I set up a new account per the assignment; however, my business has a woefully neglected and poorly branded IG account. I have had it for about 5 years. Initially, I wanted to convey a pleasing aesthetic and brand consistency; however, as I began to work in my business, out of necessity, my IG account became a hodgepodge of rando posts. Frankly, I feel overwhelmed by trying to attend to it. I would love for it to adequately represent my business and my preferred image. I do not have the time or energy to dedicate the time needed to do this. So, what's a girl to do? Hire someone...expensive and/or disappointing.
So, I used Chat GPT to create a years worth of content with emojis and hashtags. I then passed this on to an assistant who attempted to do this but it did not turn out well. I have since let this person go & now have an office manager who is working on it. I really need to schedule time to go over this with her but I am "okay" with the recent content; although, it still does not convey my brand but does promote my services.
Previously, I created highlights and a linktr.ee account; however, I have not made good use of these. I really need to revisit these. I have a whopping 739 followers but noticed that my professional dashboard shows 14.6 views in the last 30 days, with 115 interactions, and 19 new followers. I believe much of this is attributable to my Meta ads which means that I REALLY need to get my IG together!
I feel as though I cannot afford to hire someone to take care of this for me, but I have to wonder if, perhaps, I cannot afford not to. I would love for someone to consistently manage my IG, FB, & newsletters. Until then.... my IG is a thorn in my side, not even a rose thorn, but more like an invasive one that seeks to choke the goodness from my soul.
